About Jamie Weiss

My
affinity toward television and film production began
with producing my own student films at the University of Michigan
in Ann Arbor. I concentrated in animation. After graduating with a
Bachelor of Arts in Communications I painted cells for an
animation house and production assisted on commercials.
Eventually I became interested in make-up design and took a
prosthetics class hosted by a teacher from DePaul University
in Chicago. In 1982 armed with $50 worth of pancake make-up and grand
ambitions, I began my make-up career. I became a member of IATSE
Studio Mechanics Local # 476 in 1985 and Make-Up and Hair Local #706 in 2007. For nearly twenty years have had
the opportunity to work on numerous successful TV series,
feature films and the most celebrated faces in the
industry.
I relocated to
Los Angeles in 2003 to expand my opportunities to practice my craft but
continue to return to Chicago to work on television and film projects.
When I’m not painting
famous faces I design jewelry under my company name
Rouge2Jewelry.
